AJ is Director of Bizdev for a publicly traded science and technology company. Prior to that he was an Investment Banker for over 25 years. He is originally from Grove City, Ohio. Jo has been a stay-at-home mom since the birth of AJ the VI, and was previously a Compensation Business Analyst. Jo was born in Ecuador, South America and lived in California during her elementary years and in Ecuador from Junior High through High School.
AJ and Jo met in Newport Beach, CA in July of 2005 where, by chance, they were neighbors. They married in May of 2006 and currently reside in Orange County, CA. They have two boys, who share the same birthday (September 15th) and are exactly two years apart in age.
The Sextons are very active in their home church, Mariners Church in the city of Newport Beach. Jo is a past Core Leader of Mariner’s Women’s Reach Ministry for Outreach. AJ is in the Associate Elder’s Program and volunteers on the Safety Team.
As a family they have volunteer for Feed The Hungry, Free Medical and Dental Clinics and have been on various Mission Trips to Mexico, as well as El Salvador.
They have also organized and donated thousands of Christmas trees to families in need.
